History and Strategy

Founded in 1997 by Alh. (Dr.) AbdulAkeem Salaudeen, TASCON Plastic Industries Limited began with a vision to manufacture and supply quality plumbing and drainage materials across Nigeria and beyond. Over the years, the company has grown into a trusted producer of PVC pipes, water storage solutions and sanitation products serving millions of households.

The company’s expansion journey accelerated in 2001 with the establishment of a trading and investment business in Ilorin, Kwara State. In 2013, TASCON launched its manufacturing operations, increasing PVC pipe production capacity from three extrusion machines producing three metric tonnes daily to 16 machines producing over 22 metric tonnes daily. The company later expanded into PVC ceilings, calcium carbonate production and, in 2021, opened a manufacturing facility in Minna, Niger State, while also entering the water storage tank market.

Managing Director/CEO

Alh. (Dr.) Akeem Salawudeen

He was born in Iwo Oke – Aba Isin Local Government Area of Kwara State. He completed his primary school at St. Felix Aba Ijesa, Ile Ife, Osun State.

He then continued his secondary education at Ayinrin Adedeji Seconadary School, also at Ile Ife Osun State. From there he proceeded to Lagos State, where he started apprenticeship in trading. He did that for over a year, where he learnt buying and selling of wristwatches. He returned to Ilorin from 1991 to year 2000 where he went through Intense and comprehensive business tutelage under Alh. (Dr.) Kamoru Ibitoye Yusuf (KAMWIRE Industry.)
